2 A.M. Photosynthesis

Medium

Epoxy resin, plastic, fabric, beads

Date

October, 2025

This piece was born from a spark of inspiration at two a.m. in the morning, the state of mind that floats between silence and imagination. 2 A.M. Photosynthesis reflects the intersection of neurons and plants, symbolizing how ideas grow in darkness and begin to breathe before dawn.

The top of the dress is created from heat-shrink plastic and epoxy resin, shaped to mimic the branching form of neurons — a metaphor for creative impulses spreading through the mind. Beaded details around the waist represent the flow of energy, echoing both neural signals and the organic rhythm of plant life.

The skirt is asymmetrical: the left side is made of deep green satin, grounded and fluid, with beads drop from the waist like nutrients feeding the roots. The right side contrasts with a volumetric white lace structure, like a mushroom top, soft and dreamlike.

2 A.M. Photosynthesis captures the quiet moment when inspiration awakens — when thoughts photosynthesize in the darkness, transforming stillness into growth.
